Okay here's the story. As I was finishing my Bachelor's degree in Film Studies I realized that planning was my true passion. Without any practical planning experience, I started up a non-profit organization with fellow classmates focused on exploring issues of public space through highlighting local arts. From there I landed an internship with a rural municipality, which lead to a summer job with a large consulting firm before starting my Master's degree in City Planning. As a student I started picking up contracts with smaller local firms in Winnipeg, which made me think: "Hey, why don't I start my own business sub-contracting to these firms?" So I did. And successfully ran my practice until Covid-19 hit. I joined the Stantec Community Development team in Calgary in 2020 and have since worked on projects in Community Master Planning, Recreation Planning, Site Design, Sustainable Infrastructure, and Public Engagement in regions across Canada.
